Bathroom Conversation

We were all sitting around the pool a little bit ago.  Mom and I were sitting in our swimming suits watching the kids play. Lani had to go to the bathroom, so I got up to help her.  When she finished going to the bathroom she stood up and pointed to my stomach and said, “Look Mom, it’s getting bigger than your butt!”  She’s three.  I smiled and agreed…but cried inside!

The kids and Jennie hit the pool for one more hour before bed tonight.  I think they would have stayed in there all night…

i just looked in the mirror and there is a line across my belly where my pants are too tight.  i figure if i get really tan and wear some make-up nobody will notice?!?  humor me…i’m only 11 weeks.  this cannot be happening.

Our first full day here was spent around the pool…ALL day.  We are in heaven…

On the plane the people in front of me were such a funny couple.  The girl was reading a magazine called “Life & Style” (kind of a cross between People and National Enquirer).  The top story was “Unexpected BOOB jobs!”  The husband was sitting quietly reading a book entitled Understanding the Behavior of Trout.  Wow.  Just thought that was funny…

It is quite apparent that Nalani misses us so much that she is barely able to function in Florida.  Can’t wait to get down there and rescue her from her misery…

We miss you, Lani!

It’s not the same around here without our little Lani.  Nana, Jennie, Tate and Lani all arrived safely in Florida last night.  Apparently Lani fell asleep a few minutes before the last plane landed and she refused to wake up…meaning Aunt Jennie had to carry her across the airport while mom pushed Tate in his stroller and carried their six bags.  Jennie seems to think that 30 pounds feels much heavier as dead weight!  Brigg and I will be joining them on Friday.  CAN’T WAIT!

Yep, it’s Monday

The dishwasher is running.  So are the washer and dryer. I scrubbed down the counters with antibacterial kitchen cleaner that supposedly kills the flu virus.  I’m thinking about scrubbing the kids down with it as well!  The kids are running around the house…in their swimsuits again.  Brigg is so excited because he counted to 400.  We saw 6 goldfinch in our backyard and the kids insisted on calling daddy to inform him.  I am still in my pajamas and it’s 10:30.  I have about 5 loads of laundry to finish up before I start packing for Florida.  Lani leaves tomorrow with Mom, Jennie and Tate.  Brigg will stay home with me and we will be watching a friend overnight for 2 nights…he cannot wait.  He has his “Spring Fling” at preschool on Thursday and Kindergarten round-up on Friday morning.  He and I will fly out on Friday at 2:15 and meet up with the girls in Florida.  I’m sure Lani will be thoroughly spoiled by the time we arrive.  Painted nails and all.  (I’m hoping she will also know how to swim!!)   Paul tilled our “Community Garden” yesterday and plans on going over it again tonight with manure.  Lots going on this week!  I’m feeling better physically and yesterday marked 10 weeks of pregnancy.  By the time we return from Florida I should be back to 100%!  As for today we have preschool, dance, Tae Kwon Do, and small group along with all the laundry and packing left to do.  Thankful for my improved pregnancy symptoms!!  Thank goodness for Mondays…

The weekend

It was a beautiful weekend and Chris, Brenda and Bode came for a visit.  The kids had a BLAST together and were so cute.  We took a couple trips to the park, went to the Chart House for supper on Friday night, and went on a bike ride.  Here are a couple pics from the weekend…
